About
Hi, my name is Judy Newman, home is in Melbourne, Australia and like many Australians, I'm a great traveller. It is an incomplete day for me if I have not managed to find time to sew, play with fabric, contemplate new quilt designs or just dream about colour.
I have been designing quilt patterns and teaching for many many years. It is a great joy to pass on my skills and encourage budding quilters in this beautiful craft. I am the author of two books, published by Quiltmania, Quilts for Life Made with Love and Quilts For Life 2, both available on my website.
I enjoy travelling with my teaching, all around Australia and the world and have recently produced a line of fabric with Devonstone Collection called Edward Terrace. As of 2022, my friend Margaret Mew and I run retreats at Chateau de la Carriere in France. E-mail if you would like further particulars of these sewing retreats.
